Me in Scheveningen, The Netherlands

I am a PhD student in Statistics based in the Statistical Laboratory in the Department for Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics of the University of Cambridge, as well as a member of Trinity College, Cambridge. My research focuses on the development of methodology at the intersection of functional data and spatial statistics with a view to applications in official data and public policy, under the supervision of Professor Sir John Aston, former Chief Scientific Advisor at the UK's Home Office.

Research Interests

Methodology: Spatial statistics, functional data analysis, functional phase registration, gradient estimation & wombling/boundary analysis, robust statistics, distributional inference, object time series, spatial-functional regression.

Application: Official statistics, public policy, epidemiology (in particular Covid-19), excess mortality statistics, price econometrics (in particular house prices).
